Located in northwestern Xinjiang, The Kanas international ski resort project will occupy an area of over 20 sq km and become the largest ski base in China. The project was initiated in May 2008. Upon the completion of the five-stage project, it will have 14 ski lifts, slopes that have a total length of 60 km.
