The Environmental Protection Bureau of Macao SAR Government announced recently that eight proposals have been received for the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of the Macao Artificial Island Wastewater Treatment Plant. The bids indicate that the tender prices are ranging from MOP 6.1 billion to MOP 8.2 billion. The successful bidder will have 63 months to complete the project.
    The selected company will be responsible for design and construction of the Wastewater Treatment Plant within the Macao Border Checkpoint Administration Zone on the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge Artificial Island.
    Upon completion of the project, the company will also assume the operation and maintenance of the wastewater treatment plant for a ten-year period. (Source: MSARG)
