Swire Properties recently announced that the latest phase of Taikoo Place’s redevelopment will be completed in 2024, and will include the opening of Taikoo Square, an expansive green open space to promote urban biodiversity in the city.
The redevelopment will also feature increased connectivity via new elevated walkways, as well as a range of al fresco dining concepts which are now opening at street level.
In the Mainland, Swire Properties continue to curate innovative campaigns to satisfy the growing demand for high-quality retail experiences. Taikoo Li Sanlitun in Beijing introduced a lighting installation presented by renowned Australian design team Amigo&Amigo, which attracted high footfall and generated a positive response on social platforms. HKRI Taikoo Hui in Shanghai exhibited a 15-metre-high art installation of Jean-Michel Basquiat's iconic dinosaur for the first time in the world, alongside other artworks, a pop-up store and a multi-sensory interactive art experience.
In addition, two new mixed-use projects in Shanghai in partnership with Lujiazui Group will mark Swire Properties' first foray into the residential market in the Chinese Mainland. The two sites will be developed into large-scale, mixed-use projects, including retail, office and premium residential components.
Around 75% of the total saleable area in the New Bund plot residential project have been presold, with an expected completion date from 2025 onwards.
The Yangjing site, with its prime waterfront location, presents an exciting opportunity to debut our upscale residential brand in the Chinese Mainland market. The basement structure works are well underway.
