17 building plans approved in May

The Buildings Department approved 17 building plans in May - four each on Hong Kong Island and in Kowloon, and nine in the New Territories. Of the approved plans, eight were for apartment and apartment-commercial developments, one was for commercial developments, one was for factory and industrial developments, and seven were for community services developments.

     Consent was given for works to start on nine building projects which will provide 3,745 sq m of gross floor area for domestic use involving 10 units, and 64,206 sq m of gross floor area for non-domestic use.
     The department also issued 21 occupation permits - 11 on Hong Kong Island, six in Kowloon and four in the New Territories.
     Buildings certified for occupation have 200,900 sq m of gross floor area for domestic use involving 3,679 units, and 124,723 sq m for non-domestic use.
 
 
 
 
Yuen Long site to be sold
A Yuen Long site in the 2021-22 Land Sale Programme will be sold by public tender, the Lands Department announced earlier. 
     Lot No. 1677 in Demarcation District No. 115 at the junction of Lau Yip Street and Chung Yip Road, is designated for private residential purposes. It has a site area of about 15,208 sq m with a minimum and maximum gross floor area of 4,379.8 sq m and 7,299.8 sq m. The tender invitation for the lot was opened on July 16 and will be closed on August 13.
     As a green initiative, the department will no longer provide free hard copies of sale plans from this tender exercise. The copies can be purchased at the Survey & Mapping Office on 23th Floor, North Point Government Offices until the tender closes.
