The Buildings Department approved 22 building plans in October - eight on Hong Kong Island, seven in Kowloon and seven in the New Territories. Of the approved plans, nine were for apartment and apartment-commercial developments, two were for commercial developments, four were for factory and industrial developments, and seven were for community services developments.
Consent was given for works to start on 12 building projects which will provide 7,541 sq m of gross floor area for domestic use involving 203 units, and 315,587 sq m for non-domestic use.
The department also issued 11 occupation permits - three on Hong Kong Island, five in Kowloon and three in the New Territories. Buildings certified for occupation have 15,725 sq m of gross floor area for domestic use involving 393 units, and 40,393 sq m for non-domestic use.
