Consent was given for work to start on 10 building projects in October
The Buildings Department approved six building plans in October - two in Kowloon and four in the New Territories. Three were for apartment and apartment-commercial developments, two for factory and industrial developments, and one for community services development.
     Consent was given for work to start on 10 building projects that will provide 112,214 sq m of gross floor area for domestic use, involving 2,270 units, and 157,635 sq m of gross floor area for non-domestic use.
     The department received notification of the start of work on seven building projects. It also issued 14 occupation permits - two on Hong Kong Island, eight in Kowloon and four in the New Territories.
     The buildings certified for occupation have 35,607 sq m for domestic use, involving 674 units, and 92,417 sq m for non-domestic use. The declared cost of new buildings completed in October totalled $3.5 billion.
     The Lands Department also announced that a Kai Tak residential site in the 2016-17 Land Sale Programme will be sold by public tender. New Kowloon Inland Lot No. 6564 is 7,318 sq m with minimum and maximum gross floor areas of 23,711 and 39,517 sq m. The tender invitation for the lot will open December 16 and close January 20.
