SHKP clinched 8 golds at the Best Landscape Awards 2016
Sun Hung Kai Properties' (SHKP) two property management subsidiaries Hong Yip and Kai Shing won 25 honours, including 8 golds in the Best Landscape Awards 2016.
Best Landscape Awards are given every two years by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, Home Affairs Department and six professional groups including The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors, The Hong Kong Institute of Landscape Architects and Professional Green Building Council. This is a premier event in the industry recognizing top landscape designs and maintenance in private developments. There were more than 170 entries this year that were assessed on visual and landscape quality, level of improvement to the overall landscape and ability to enhance user involvement and interaction. There is a new Environmental Efficiency Award this year to promote cost effectiveness, sustainability and green living.
SHKP's Landscape Division emphasises on the planning of green space; setting aside large areas in new developments for landscaping with wide varieties of trees and flowers and using the latest techniques to show residents and the public the beauty of nature. The commitment to landscaping continues after project completion by the two property management subsidiaries Hong Yip and Kai Shing.
Hong Yip, Kai Shing and SHKP's Landscape Division won 8 golds, 11 merits and 6 Environmental Efficiency Awards. Among all, Valais, International Commerce Centre, Manhattan Hill and Woodland Crest are double winners with golds and Environmental Efficiency Awards.
