GILE 2025 brings together 2,500+ exhibitors to redefine the role of lighting for smarter and healthier living
Over 2,500 exhibitors will gather at Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition (GILE), held from 9 – 12 June 2025, concurrently with Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology (GEBT). Celebrating 30 years of driving innovation, GILE has showcased the lighting industry’s evolution from its beginnings to today’s cutting-edge technology. This year, the show expands beyond its four-day format with the launch of “illuminnovation lab”, a year-round initiative with activities promoting new applications of light and shaping the future of the lighting industry worldwide.
As the lighting industry rapidly transforms, new technologies are unlocking opportunities for innovation. In light of these developments, GILE 2025 will focus on the theme “Light for Life” and will advocate two key concepts: “New-quality lighting” and “Light-enhanced living”.
Ms Lucia Wong, General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd commented: “For the past three decades, GILE has partnered with the industry, navigating challenges and celebrating milestones in lighting innovation. GILE 2025 is an opportunity to build on this strong foundation, foster collaboration, and push boundaries. With collective efforts, we can advance the industry, create meaningful contributions, and shape a brighter future for all.”
The Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition and Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology will be held concurrently. Both shows are part of Messe Frankfurt’s Light + Building Technology fairs headed by the biennial “Light + Building” event. The next edition will be held from 8 – 13 March 2026 in Frankfurt, Germany.
Messe Frankfurt organises several trade fairs for the light and building technology sectors in Asia, including Shanghai Intelligent Building Technology, Shanghai Smart Home Technology and Parking China. The company’s lighting and building technology trade fairs also cover the markets in Argentina, India, Türkiye, the UAE and the US.
