A winery and wellness resort

Blink Design Group recently announced its appointment as lead architect and interior designer of winemaker Wirra Wirra’s winery and resort, set to become the  first luxury wellness retreat in the South Australian region.
In  partnership with  Adelaide-based developer Greaton, Blink will transform the heritage property situated on 255 Strout Road, McLaren Vale, into a 33-room resort spread across 10 buildings, with  nine of those buildings to be built into two-storey casitas.
“We're thrilled to be entering a new market in Australia with a storied winery as our partner,” says Rengy John, managing partner of Blink Design Group, of the collaboration.
The McLaren Vale region is celebrated for its world-class wines, particularly in the growth of shiraz and grenache. Blink, for its part, is recognised for its focus on designing highly distinctive and detail-oriented  destinations, each channelling the unique spirit of its location. Blink’s portfolio is largely defined by luxury hospitality properties for leading global brands including Aman Resorts, Alila Hotels and Resorts, Capella Hotels and Resorts, Raffles Hotels and Resorts, and Regent Hotels. The firm will begin its work on Wirra Wirra, its first winery project, in November 2019, with completion slated for July 2022.
