An immediate extension to the Phase I Terminal Building: the north-west concourse extension. Originally, a 5-module extension was planned for the north-western corner of the terminal building depending on the future air traffic demand. However, due to rapid economic growth in the mid 90掇, the Government decided to launch the extension work in early 1997. The work shown in this photo is the carrying out of the substructure work for the new extension.
